Position Description

We are looking for a Cost Engineer to join our Assets Maintenance Solutions Department (AMSD) within the Global Manufacturing Excellence Organization at the client's company. AMSD focuses on providing maintenance technical consultations and ensuring best-in-class maintenance practices across the Global Manufacturing portfolio. Your main responsibility will be to handle cost engineering functions related to maintenance and turnaround in the Oil & Gas downstream sector (refineries/petrochemicals).

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Construction, Production, or related field). Minimum 10 years of experience in cost engineering for maintenance and turnaround, with experience in cost benchmarking and contracting processes. Familiarity with cost estimating tools and market conditions, as well as experience with the SAP system.

Responsibilities

Establishing estimating standards and strategies for maintenance and turnaround projects.
Reviewing bottom-up estimates for yearly maintenance and turnaround budgets.
Analyzing spending and identifying areas for cost savings and improvement.
Coordinating with Maintenance and Turnaround Engineers to prepare and finalize budgets.
Evaluating price bids and establishing cost evaluation criteria for contracts.
Developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for cost performance measurement.
Maintaining records of cost estimating standards and guidelines.
Monitoring and reporting cost performance regularly.
