1- Establish the Security Function at theclient including processes, procedures and Intrclientsdepartments, man days , etc.2. Createsinformation security roadmap, both short-term and long-range, insupport of the client sgoals.3. Manages anongoing, proactive risk assessment program for all new and existingsystems and remainsfamiliar with the client s goals andbusiness processes so effective controls can be put in place forthoseareas presenting the greatest information securityrisk.4. Communicates risks and recommendations tomitigate risks to the senior administrationbycommunicating in non-technical, cost/benefit terms andin a format relevant to senior administratorssodecisions can be made to ensure the security ofinformation systems and information entrusted totheclient.5. Oversees all ongoing activitiesrelated to the development, implementation, and maintenance oftheclient s information security policies and proceduresby ensuring these policies and proceduresencompass theoverall security of electronic information at rest or in motionwithin the Missouri Stateclient system and assistingdepartments in local process and procedure development, ensuringthey arenot in conflict with clientpolicies.6. Assists other departments to ensureregulatory compliance in areas such as the PaymentCardIndustry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) and theHealth Insurance Portability and AccountabilityAct(HIPAA), NIA & FIFAframework
