Overview

Fadhili Gas Plant (FGP) is looking for an instrument Engineer to join the facility.

FGP is one of Saudi Aramco departments producing energy to cater for the Kingdom's growing energy demand. FGP is a key component of the Kingdom's master gas system, processing 2.5 BCFD gas from the onshore and offshore gas fields. FGP is responsible for safe operation and maintenance of, gas treat, gas dehydration, sulfur recovery & tail gas treatment, MEG regeneration units and associated utilities.

You will work as technical support engineer, developing Engineering design packages, participate in plant trip troubleshooting and investigation, review project documentations and continuous improvements opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Candidate main duties and responsibilities will include and limited to:

 

  • Develop Engineering Design scopes and packages.
  • Preform control and relief valves sizing.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate systems malfunction and provide recommendations to resolve them.
  • Conduct engineering job evaluation for plant modifications proposals.
  • Perform and coordinate engineering studies.
  • Provide Engineering Support for approved Capital Projects.
  • Maintain engineering drawings and Mark-up PFD's, P&ID's, ILD's and data sheets.
  • Participate in HAZOP review sessions and ensure that all issues are addressed.
  • Work closely with vendors, and consultation departments as needed.
  • Conduct and Review major studies and Incident Investigations.
  • Assist and provide technical consultation to Maintenance and Operation teams.

Minimum Requirements

As successful candidate you must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering with minimum of (15) years of experience as field technical support, in the Oil/Gas industry. Candidate should have hands-on and in-depth knowledge of international standards and codes instrumentation national code (ENC) and NEMA and instrumentation/control systems such as process measurements, Relief/ control/ ESD valves, analyzers, equipment protection system (Vibration/temperature), fire systems and PLCs.

 

  • Participated in HAZOP, PHA, SIS, SIL, Design Review, Lesson learned workshops.
  • Knowledge and experience working with instrumentation & control systems such as process instrumentation, DCS, Fire & Gas, ESD Systems, Analyzers & Valves.
  • Hands on experience in design calculations for different instrumentation systems such as analyzers, flowmeters, control valves and others.
  • Experience in Procurement support is required for RFQ, Technical Evaluations and Vendor Document Reviews.
  • Knowledge and experience working with custody metering systems including flow computers, PLC, HMI and other related software and hardware.
  • Advanced knowledge of International and Saudi Aramco Standards
  • Familiarity with field instrument types and applications is a must.

  • Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP)
  • Certified Automation Engineer (CAE)
