Who we are -

Welcome to the Great Western Brewing Company Ltd. We are a family run, 10 barrel brewery, with the ability to produce 360 gallons of Craft Ale daily, with local fresh ingredients and water from our own fresh water spring, which is on site.

Where we are -

We are located 10 minutes from the center of Bristol, just off from the M32. A true Bristol Brewery

Why we are -

Making real ale was always a dream of Kevin (founder of GWB). After having a pub in the family for over 30 years, (The Rising Sun, Frampton Cotterell) Ideas of putting a brew plant next or in the public house had always been in the back of his mind, until an old derelict bakery (Turners bakery, Hambrook) went up for sale in 2006. It was quickly snapped up, and so became The Great Western Brewing Company Ltd. Conversion of the Old Turners Bakery into a showpiece real ale brewery commenced in .

What we are -

We are a family run business, this means we can give every aspect of the business our personal touch. Decisions and issues can be acted on much more quickly, achieving much better results and customer service. If there are any questions that you might have don't be shy, give us a shout.

We take sustainability very seriously at GWB, Nothing is wasted.The spent malt from the mashtun is collected by our local farmer, Ray (86 Years young), who feeds the grain to his cattle.The Spent hops (used as fertilizer) is picked up by a few locals who have allotments close by.
