Changi International Airport Services (CIAS) was established in December 1977 as a joint venture between 5 airlines – Air France, KLM, Lufthansa, China Airlines and Garuda – together with Port of Singapore (PSA) to provide ground handling services to partner airlines at Changi Airport.

CIAS was then acquired by dnata Group in September 2004 as part of their growth plans in the region.

Seven years later in August 2011, CIAS was rebranded dnata as part of the global branding exercise. This also included a revamp of the dnata uniform now worn by more than 17,500 employees worldwide.

Today, dnata Singapore has grown into an air service provider with an excellent global reputation for service quality. Singapore is the largest station outside of Dubai that boasts a full suite of ground handling services, providing ramp and apron handling, cargo handling and catering services under the dnata brand. Company offer a full range of ground and cargo handling, and catering services to more than 60 airlines in Singapore.
