We have a clear purpose to secure that billions of people get food, water and medicine produced in a more sustainable way. To help us on our journey to become a 3B Euro division with excellent profitability we are looking for a new Vice President and Division Controller. Are you the one? Purpose and mission Your mission as Vice President Business Control is to support our division in the ambition to achieve sustainable profitable growth. You will advise the divisional President and the divisional management team in business control from a global perspective, assess the financial impact of divisional strategic directions, and be an active member of the Food & Water Division management team. You will also be engaged in and driving Mergers & Acquisition activities. About the job You will work closely with our six business units, sales companies, and the finance community within Alfa Laval. Your focus will be:

  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of the strategy in the division and assist in the establishment of measurable targets and KPI’s to ensure targets are met.
  • Evaluate financial implications of various strategic decisions, builds scenarios, and recommend actions.
  • Promote initiatives to achieve growth and cost savings as well as strengthen responsiveness to customers.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial information used in the Division to support the improvement of both commercial and operational related processes.
  • Drive improvement of financial analysis, planning, and reporting processes in the Division.
  • Provide analysis support to assess business risk exposure and provide input to define risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance. Identify and manage potential risks relating to contract agreements.
  • Being a business partner collaborating with other functions in the organization to drive business improvements and change – part of both tactical and strategic decisions in our Divisional management team.
  • Functionally lead and mentor the team of business controllers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

This position is based at our Søborg office in Denmark or Lund in Sweden, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 20 - 30 days per year. Who you are You are a visionary financial leader with a passion for driving strategic initiatives and achieving exceptional results. Your proactive approach and innovative mindset enable you to challenge conventional thinking and develop strong financial strategies. You are experienced in business and finance/ business control especially in an engineering and manufacturing industry environment. You have a holistic understanding of the business landscape and like to identify the deeper industry, and customer needs to understand the business drivers and develop the impactful opportunities from a business control angle. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You are organized and structured to keep several trails in parallel and successfully follow through without losing track. You bring extensive experience in various Microsoft Office applications including Power BI. What you know We believe you are an experienced business controller professional with a proven track record of driving financial performance and strategic change initiatives. You have several years of relevant experience linked to business controlling in an international setting. Additionally, you have experience from a matrix organization and an understanding of how to manage change and drive process improvements across various business areas. You have a graduate degree in finance, business or alike. Besides working experience, we believe that you are passionate about sustainability, Food, Water and Pharma technology and like to constantly grow your knowledge. Excellent communication skills, and fluent written and spoken English is a requirement.
