Kiwibank is looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to work in our Digital Workplace Security Services (DWSS) product area, within our Enterprise Technology Hub. As the DWSS Lead Engineer at Kiwibank, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our technology landscape. Your influence will extend far beyond code and systems—it’s about inspiring and guiding your team toward excellence.

  1. You’ll lead a talented group of engineers, ensuring our enterprise security systems are robust and follow industry best practice. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be collaborating closely with the Principal Engineer, Principal Architect, and Product Manager to define the strategic direction of Kiwibank’s security and governance technologies.
  2. Your platforms will be critical to the safety of the bank, assisting our information security, data governance and corporate teams. Technical Experience required:
  1. Experienced with all aspects of human and machine identity in a large, complex, highly regulated environment. You will be responsible for cloud and on-premises directories. Implementing and maintaining identity governance and privileged access management technologies should be second nature.
  2. Experience managing EDR systems in a heterogeneous environment.
  3. Experience managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform and leveraging APIs for complex system integrations.
  4. Proven ability to guide and develop team members in an Agile and/or DevOps environment. You will be responsible for Platform Engineers, SREs and QA Engineers so must assist each specialty and work to ensure they collaborate effectively.
  5. Security mindset. You have extensive experience working alongside information security and/or data governance teams and understand their considerations when implementing systems.
  6. Strong experience with at least one programming or scripting language.
  7. You will be comfortable working in an agile delivery environment, helping your squads and our delivery managers plan sprints as well as larger, multi-quarter initiatives.
