Senior Quantity Surveyor

Currie & Brown is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our Dwarka, Delhi office. The primary responsibility of the Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil / MEP is to lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for Civil / Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The role involves providing expert cost advice, driving project success, and ensuring accurate budget management. Responsibilities for the successful candidate(s) will include:

• Lead the detailed analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents provided by clients and consultants to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements.
• Oversee the identification of Project requirements, including materials, equipment, labor, and other resources necessary for accurate cost estimation.
• Stay updated with and ensure compliance with applicable international codes and standards, such as NRM, POMI, and SMM7, guiding junior team members as needed.
• Ensure all cost estimates are aligned with industry standards, maintaining high levels of compliance, quality, and accuracy across all projects.
• Apply advanced measurement techniques to assess quantities accurately and provide guidance to less experienced team members in measurement methodologies.
• Proficiency in working with AutoCAD, MS Excel and related software.
• Familiarity with cost estimation software (e.g., CostX ) is an added advantage
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

• 10-15 years of proven experience in Quantity Surveying, out of that a minimum of 5 years of technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy.
• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in, Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
• Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
• A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
