Job Overview Weatherford, a leading organization in the Oil & Energy industry, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will have primary responsibility for purchasing materials, supplies, and services within established quality, quantity, and price guidelines. You will work with readily available items and generally small quantities, sourcing from local retailers, wholesalers, jobbers, and sales representatives. Responsibilities:

  1. Solicit quotations from reliable suppliers and conduct thorough price comparisons.
  2. Monitor consumption levels and pricing trends to optimize procurement strategies.
  3. Accurately enter purchase orders into the system, adhering to established procedures.
  4. Proactively follow up on purchase order approvals to maintain efficient workflow.
  5. Collaborate with suppliers to process orders promptly and ensure timely delivery.
  6. Maintain meticulous procurement records, including past due orders, open purchase orders, and goods-in-transit.
  7. Provide comprehensive weekly and monthly summaries of procurement activities to relevant stakeholders.
  8. Promptly report any ambiguities, non-conformances, or concerns to appropriate personnel.
  9. Comply with all applicable Weatherford policies, maintain punctuality, and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Skills:
  1. Thorough understanding of Supply Chain functions.
  2. Excellent communication skills in English.
  3. Good in Microsoft office.
  4. Good ERP knowledge.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 3 + years of experience related to supply chain.
  2. A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required.
  3. Knowledge of JD Edwards is preferred.
