The Organisation You will join an iconic international bank with progressive footprints and organic growth in Australia, in their well established Risk Management team. This role is a Mat Leave Cover until June 2020 with the view to extend. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Update the Branch's Operational Risk Policies and Procedures with regards to regulatory updates and risk management principles.
- Implement risk management framework and relevant policies and procedures into BAU.
- Update and monitor the Branch's risk limits in accordance with principles stated in relevant policies (e.g. Operational, Incident Management, etc.).
- Monitor risk management activities and conduct risk workshops as per schedule.
- Conduct half-yearly operational risk assessment, identify and rank prominent operational risks of the Branch.
- Assist the business units in developing risk profiles, and design appropriate controls.
- Review and assess potential risks associated with new products and processes.
- Assist Department Head to coordinate with external parties (such as APRA, internal and external auditors).
- Maintain documentations and prepare monthly reports to Management and Committee.
- Other ad-hoc works when required.
- 3-5 years' experience in an operational risk & controls (Line 1, 2 or 3), preferably in Australian Banking / Big4 consulting firms.
- Tertiary qualified or above in finance/business.
- Good updated understanding of APRA and other regulatory requirements impacting a foreign ADI's operation.
- Detailed knowledge of principles, practices, theories and concepts relating to operational risk management.
- High attention to detail, with demonstrable autonomy and teamwork.
- Speaking and reading proficiency in both English & Mandarin is essential.
