The opportunity - Te āheinga We are seeking a talented Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Digital Enablement Team. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to plan, design, develop, implement, and support business processes and systems. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will provide technical leadership for the Council's core systems, manage new projects, and mentor junior team members. You will work with users to identify potential improvements to business processes and systems, including websites, APIs, web apps, and digital services. Additionally, you will offer technical support and expertise for Business Systems Analysts as an escalation point and collaborate with the Product Owner to achieve the delivery team's outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the relevant business processes and the capabilities, limitations, and configuration of Core Systems.
- Work with internal teams to develop integrated solutions.
- Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and process improvement.
- Develop and support internal and external websites, digital solutions, and mobile applications for the NPDC.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, User Acceptance Testing, and test plans for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
- Strong focus on root cause and trend analysis, identifying and owning problems based on ITIL methodology.
- Support application lifecycle via regular maintenance and planned upgrades, including patching and security risk mitigation.
- Contribute to the development of business application lifecycle management plans.
- Ensure that regulatory and compliance processes are addressed and adhered to.
- Participate in knowledge sharing sessions with other members of the DE Delivery team and the wider DE team to ensure a high level of collaboration and cross-functional knowledge.
- Technical escalation point, mentoring, peer review for documentation and changes to support the business systems analysts.
- Create, use, and maintain knowledge documentation and articles relevant to supporting the Delivery team as well as the wider team.
- Maintain availability and uptime of critical business applications.
Minimum Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in information technology or related discipline, or five years experience in ICT.
- Experience working in a complex public-facing environment with working knowledge of Local Government legislation.
- Experience in configuring and supporting ERP systems, preferably with knowledge of Technology One would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Service Now preferably with Certification as a SN System Administrator.
- Knowledge of SQL databases would be an advantage as would be an understanding of Software Development Life Cycle practices.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Web/SQL web development and API tools and technologies would be an advantage.
