We operate the world's fourth-largest single-site refinery in the town of Ruwais in Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafra region. It is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and managed by a highly experienced international workforce. Its unique location allows us to rapidly meet our clients' needs across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Domestically, we operate a pipeline network spanning 1,600 kilometres to ensure that local customers are supplied on demand. About The Job Develop and perform effective management of Civil Maintenance Works at the ADNOC Refining HQ, Abu Dhabi Refinery, and Mussafah Terminal, including modifications, installations with routine maintenance, preventive, and running, ensuring quality and cost-effective services with a high focus on HSE. Manage the implementation of contractor services to ensure compliance with standards/specifications and constantly evaluate contractor work and performance. Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure preparation/development of planned preventive maintenance programs, commissioning, alterations, installation, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Plan and follow up Contractor’s work programs and monitor implementation to ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
  • Contribute and involve in the preparation of capital/operation maintenance budget, pre/post tender activities.
  • Evaluate Office and Building service requirements and recommend enhancements/improvements/replacements as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with concerned departments and prepare proposals ensuring the integrity of all installations and execute works efficiently.
  • Review and advise on modification/maintenance requirements, identify and troubleshoot through Supervisor/Contractors Specialist, and submit necessary reports specifying causes of defects.
  • Perform other related duties such as evaluating/assessing Building Maintenance/Services contractors and suppliers’ pre-qualifications prior to enlisting on the Company’s approved list, participating in the technical evaluation of Contractors.
  • Study received requests, pass routine works to the Area Contractor for execution, and follow up until completion. Conduct routine and spot checks to evaluate completed work.
  • Evaluate against approved checklist for civil/structural defects, quality of workmanship, and HSE Issues.
  • Communicate any shortfalls to Landlord’s representative/in charge entities/Contractors to ensure that units and facilities are sound and meet acceptable levels. Recommend acceptance or rejection of work and offer solutions.
  • Promote safety awareness among contractors, participate in HSE awareness meetings, and actively promote Near Miss Reporting & Behaviour Safety Audits. Carry out safety inspections in accordance with HSED on related issues. Prior to execution of activities, identify risks involved and prepare and approve risk assessments with concerned parties. Obtain necessary Permits to Work as required.
  • Prepare file notes, technical reports, evaluate contractors’ performance, and recommend improvements.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering discipline or equivalent discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 3-4 years of experience in building maintenance and services, with at least 2 years in a civil supervisory capacity.
  • Proficient in English.
