Position: Assistant General Manager - Supply Chain Management Company: Cosmos Pumps Pvt. Ltd. Location: Faridabad, Haryana Department: Supply Chain Management Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Job Type: Full-Time Experience: Minimum 10 years in manufacturing, industrial, machinery, or related industries preferred Position Summary: The Assistant General Manager - Supply Chain Management (AGM-SCM) will play a critical role in optimizing and overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations at Cosmos Pumps Pvt. Ltd. The incumbent will be responsible for strategic planning, procurement, inventory management, vendor development, logistics, and distribution, ensuring efficient and cost-effective supply chain activities aligned with the company’s growth objectives. The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Supply Chain Management:

  • Develop and implement robust supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Align supply chain processes with company goals, focusing on sustainability, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
Procurement and Vendor Management:
  • Manage the procurement process, ensuring timely sourcing of materials at competitive prices without compromising on quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors for long-term partnerships.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure favorable agreements.
Inventory and Warehouse Management:
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance working capital efficiency with product availability.
  • Oversee warehouse operations to ensure proper stock control, storage, and timely dispatch of goods.
  • Implement inventory management systems to monitor stock accuracy and reduce obsolescence.
Logistics and Distribution:
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of materials and finished products.
  • Optimize distribution networks to support customer demands effectively.
  • Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team to enhance performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for the supply chain team.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration with other departments, including production, sales, and finance.
Process Improvement and Compliance:
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to optimize processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Implement ERP systems and digital tools for improved supply chain visibility and reporting.
Reporting and Analytics:
  • Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, including cost analysis, inventory turnover, procurement efficiency, and vendor performance.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, forecast demand, and support strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business Administration is a plus.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing, industrial machinery, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of managing complex supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and vendor management.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, procurement strategies, and logistics management.
  • Proficient in supply chain software (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP, or similar tools).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data for informed decision-making.
Leadership and Soft Skills:
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
