In this role, you would be applying Biotransformation technology (enzyme and fermentation technology) to improve nutrition, taste, and functional properties of Nestlé products and processes in ways that are sustainable, cost-competitive, and consumer-relevant, aligned with Nestlé's purpose. A day in the life of... Manage local knowledge generation projects – from ideation to execution and transfer to support our long-term innovation pipeline with necessary guidance. Responsible for designing and executing research plans to test scientific hypotheses and translating them into relevant products to meet consumer wants. Support local product development specialists in their innovation projects where Biotransformation technology is leveraged. Develop and maintain collaboration networks with internal stakeholders in Biotransformation and adjacent fields. Provide technical assistance to factories and operations for Biotransformation related processes as required. Scout and manage collaborative works within the area of Biotransformation with key suppliers, academic, and strategic industry partners with necessary guidance. What will make you successful Engaged and skilled scientist/technologist with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry. Experienced and passionate about enzymes/fermentation technology, with strong technical competency and hands-on experience desired. Having 2 – 3 years of industrial experience is an added bonus. Work experience in the food industry is desired. Work/study experience within an international and multi-disciplinary setup is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborative attitude, and experience in working in a dynamic and complex matrix organization. Good communication skills (e.g. report writing and presentation).
