About the job We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive-Public who has software sales and account management experience within the government sector. You will be responsible for sales of SAS software products, solutions, and services in a high volume, multi-tasking environment to prospective and current accounts with a focus on Saudi Mega-projects Sector. You will:

  1. Sell software, solutions, and services to current and prospective customers; works with other sales/pre-sales/domain personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities to acquire, grow and retain customers within assigned territory.
  2. Fulfill a wide range of requests for information from prospective customers. Qualifies level of opportunity and resources required.
  3. Prospect within accounts to uncover business needs.
  4. Implement aspects of territory and account management and development; identifies accounts with high "close" potential, qualifies, advances opportunity through milestone steps of sales cycle and forecasts time frames to close business within Orion.
  5. Work closely with pre-sales resources and executives to facilitate timely response to highly qualified, high revenue potential opportunities.
  6. Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as needed; work with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for delivery services.
  7. Follow up with customers to track satisfaction levels and to discover additional revenue opportunities.
  8. Develop a basic understanding of company pricing, licensing procedures, and approvals matrix.
  9. Fully utilize account planning process and tools.
What we’re looking for
  1. Knowledge of advanced strategic sales techniques; knowledge of hardware and/or software acquisition cycles and buying influences.
  2. Advanced knowledge of Government software terminology and concepts; knowledge of SAS solutions and services preferred.
  3. Working experience with Government departments, ministries, and utilities specifically related to Saudi Mega-projects.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strategic selling skills, skills in analyzing and evaluating territory dynamics to develop and implement a sales plan.
  5. Ability to initiate and lead projects; ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to relate technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to travel on a frequent basis.
  6. Excellent English and Arabic speaking – Saudi National required.
