Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead for Market Intelligence in the automotive sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of market analysts and aligning their efforts to support strategic decision-making and business objectives. This role requires expertise in market research, consumer behavior, industry trends, and government policies related to the auto industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Alignment : Lead, manage, and motivate the Market Intelligence team, ensuring that team activities align with the company’s strategic objectives and business needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Develop and nurture strong relationships with key consultancies, agencies, market research firms, and industry experts to gather insights on auto industry trends, consumer behavior, investment patterns, and other related fields.
- 360-Degree Business Understanding : Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business ecosystem to assist management in decision-making and strategic execution across Sales, Marketing, and other departments.
- Market Research & Consumer Insights : Oversee the collection and analysis of consumer insights to understand needs, desires, and perceptions, and leverage this information to guide business strategies.
- Trend Monitoring : Monitor trends related to consumer preferences, economic conditions, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to anticipate market shifts.
- Risk Assessment & Contingency Planning : Lead the team in conducting risk assessments and scenario planning to anticipate challenges and develop contingency strategies.
- Government & Policy Tracking : Oversee the tracking of government notifications, policies, and roadmaps impacting the automotive industry, specifically from MoRTH, MHI, Finance, and Commerce & Industry.
- Market Reporting : Ensure the timely delivery of monthly market inputs and daily updates on key industry news, trends, and regulatory changes affecting the automotive sector.
- Mentoring & Development : Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members to help them grow and contribute effectively to the team's objectives.
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- 12-15 years of experience in market intelligence, research, or strategy, ideally in the automotive or related industries.
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Deep understanding of government policies and regulations related to the automotive sector in India.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
