Job Summary: Organizing and managing the day-to-day functions of the air freight operations to meet the needs of the Company’s customers and provide a high rate of return. Effective coordination and execution of airfreight operations and pricing in line with the BDP standard procedure. Essential Functions: Pricing

  • Airfreight rate negotiation with airline, GSA, etc.
  • Preparing quotations to the client including freight and insurance (if required) and follow-up.
  • Monitor and maintain data on quotations and win-loss ratio.
  • Keep track of airline contract rates (validity/expiry).
  • Maintain healthy relations with Carrier, GSA, and partners.
Operation
  • Execution of customs clearance in accordance with KSA customs rules and regulations including customs inspection.
  • Coordinating with customer and dispatch team for cargo pickup.
  • Ensure proper packing & labeling of cargo according to carrier, commodity & destination requirements.
  • On-time creation of Job Costing Sheet once full delivery is done to finance for invoicing.
  • Alert and update shipment details on the BDP system.
Customer Service
  • Ensure on-time updates of cargo status to customers.
  • Understand customer’s requirements and instructions (i.e., DTC, DTD, description of goods, etc.).
  • Inform customers of the export clearance requirements prior to cargo pickup.
  • On-time invoicing of customers, 48 hours after cargo delivery.
Requirements:
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a customer service type environment preferred.
  • +3 years experience in airfreight export operations with knowledge in KSA customs procedure, ground handling agent & carrier communication.
  • College/University graduate.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Software applications, MS Excel expertise.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced office.
  • Good communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills required.
  • Candidate must possess a strong teamwork attitude.
  • Leadership experience is strongly desired.
  • Candidate must be PC literate with MS Office applications.
