Pauktuutit, as the national voice of Inuit women in Canada, has a key role to play in ensuring a gender-equality lens in policies impacting Inuit Women and in promoting greater progress in priority areas for Inuit women and children, across health and well-being, violence, and abuse prevention, safety, and socio-economic development. - Experience leading organizations, in particular with a focus on working together to effectively deliver projects and advocate for better futures.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing non-profit finances and project based financial commitments and ensuring compliance with contribution agreement requirements.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a similar environment and degree from a recognized university in a relevant discipline or commensurate credentials and experience (ex. credentials in public administration, public policy, human rights, business management and/or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience providing support directly to senior management in a similar organization and supporting one or multiple senior executives or board members.
- Experience working with Inuit; and knowledge of the current political, social, and economic conditions of Inuit is a definite asset.
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary functions (Finance, Human Resources, Information Management/ Information Technology (IM/IT), Communications)
- Experience enabling government projects, grants and contributions processes is desirable.
- CPA is a definite asset.
- Language – Fluency in English; working knowledge of Inuktut (oral and written).
