Business Systems Analyst

We are currently working with one of Canada's leading financial institutions, with a long history of providing innovative solutions for individuals, businesses, and communities across the country. They are looking to add a Business Systems Analyst to their team on a hybrid schedule at their Toronto office. This is an initial 6+ month contract on T4 with potential to extend. Responsibilities:
- You will be expected to learn and develop your level of understanding of RRS functionality, flows and components.
- You will have an opportunity to participate in upcoming or current project initiatives as a representative of RRS where your feedback will be solicited.
- You will be expected to contribute to the RRS wiki, a regulatory reporting specific online encyclopedia. Refining and updating reference material for future purposes.
- Strong analytical problem solving and excellent communication skills.
- Strong competence in writing and executing SQL queries for data mining and functional verification and validation
- Experience in writing user stories and familiarity with an Agile work environment
- Strong knowledge and experience in any of the following Capital Markets Regulations: CFTC, CSA, SEC, ESMA/EMIR, HKMA, ASIC, MIFIDII, SFTR, IIROC, LOPR, LTR
- Experience with regulatory reporting technology platforms such as DTCC, Unavista, Trax
- Experience with FIX, FPML, CSV, ISO 20022 XML submission message types
- Strong knowledge and experience in Capital Markets and Financial Instruments: OTC Derivatives, Exchange Traded Derivatives, Foreign Exchange and Money Market transactions
- May have exposure or familiarity with Market Risk Management, Risk Valuation or Liquidity Risk Management.
- Comfortable in communicating with all levels in our organization and external regulatory institutions.
