As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you'll be a key player in ensuring Kiwibank meets its financial and regulatory reporting obligations. You'll be involved in preparing regulatory reports for RBNZ and Stats NZ, reporting to the Crown (CFIS), and preparing financial statements for Kiwibank and its subsidiaries. Your role will also see you working closely with external auditors, providing them with the information they need and ensuring an efficient audit process. With a strong focus on internal controls, you'll collaborate with the financial accounting and tax teams, supporting them as required.

At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths and learn new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have some of the following:

1. A solid background in financial accounting or financial reporting (3+ years), ideally in the finance sector.
2. A CA qualification (CAANZ or overseas equivalent) or actively working towards one.
3. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems. Bonus points if you have experience with SQL or Power BI.
4. A sharp eye for detail and a strong internal control mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
6. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
