We are now seeking a Senior Sales Executive with extensive experience to expand our footprint across educational and research organizations and consortiums in India. Position Overview: As a Senior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales and business development of our anti-plagiarism platform within the Indian education and research sectors. This includes targeting individual institutions, as well as national and regional consortiums representing multiple organizations. Your deep expertise in sales, understanding of academic and research challenges, and proven ability to build long-term relationships will be pivotal in achieving sales goals, penetrating the market and expanding our customer base in India. Key Responsibilities: • Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan tailored to the Indian market, focusing on individual educational institutions, research organizations, and consortiums. Identify and prioritize key targets, understand their specific needs, and position our platform as a solution to their academic integrity and research challenges. • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Leverage your network, market intelligence, and sales expertise to generate high-quality leads across India. Target educational institutions, universities, research organizations, and consortiums such as university alliances and academic collaborations. • Relationship Building with Consortiums: Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers in national and regional educational consortiums. Work with consortium leaders to promote the platform as a trusted, scalable solution for multiple member institutions. • Sales Presentations & Product Demos: Conduct customized product demonstrations and presentations for individual clients and consortium groups. Showcase the capabilities of the anti-plagiarism platform, highlighting its benefits for both individual institutions and collective groups within consortiums. • Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations, close deals, and ensure smooth contract transitions. Collaborate with contracts teams to ensure successful agreement execution, while managing client expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction. • Sales Pipeline & CRM Management: Maintain an organized pipeline using CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and sales activities. Ensure accurate forecasting and timely follow-ups, keeping all stakeholders informed throughout the sales cycle. • Market Insights & Competitor Analysis: Stay current on industry trends, challenges, and regulations affecting the education and research sectors in India. Monitor competitor offerings and leverage market intelligence to refine your sales strategy. • Collaboration with Marketing & Product Teams: Work closely with the marketing team to create content, campaigns, and case studies that resonate with the target market. Provide feedback to the product team based on customer and market insights to help tailor the platform for the Indian audience. • Customer Support & Retention: Maintain ongoing communication with customers, post-sale, to ensure a smooth onboarding process and encourage long-term use of the platform. Identify upsell opportunities to expand platform adoption within organizations and consortiums. Key Qualifications: • About 6-8 years of proven sales experience, ideally within the education technology or software sector, with a strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. • Solid understanding of the Indian education and research landscape, including academic challenges, research requirements, and the role of consortiums in promoting shared services for institutions. • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers in educational institutions, research organizations, and consortiums. • Experience negotiating and closing large-scale contracts, especially within consortium models, and an ability to manage complex, multi-party sales cycles. • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools to track leads and sales progress effectively. • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Ability to travel across India as required. Desirable Skills: • Experience working with consortiums or selling solutions at the institutional or group level. • Familiarity with academic integrity, plagiarism detection technologies, or other related software solutions. • Fluency in English and one or more regional Indian languages is a plus. • Strong understanding of SaaS-based solutions and subscription-based sales models.
