Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage neurological conditions in patients ranging from newborns to adolescents.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each child.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, including EEGs, MRIs, and other neuroimaging studies.
  • Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures and Botox injections for neurological conditions when appropriate.
  • Work closely with pediatricians, therapists, surgeons, and other specialists to provide holistic care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and coordinate care plans.
  • Communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly and empathetically to patients and their families.
  • Provide guidance on managing neurological conditions and support resources for caregivers.
  • Engage in research activities to advance knowledge in pediatric neurology and improve patient outcomes.
  • Mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the field of pediatric neurology.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, state regulations, and ethical standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post Graduate of approved Medical School with a valid license to practice Pediatric Neurology.
  • Certification by the American Board of Neurology or equivalent U.K. certification Member of the Royal College of Physicians (PAEDS).
  • At least 3 years as a full-time pediatrician Neurologist, after residency training.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.
  • Current licensure in country of origin and with DOH /DHA / MOH license to practice in UAE.
  • Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
  • Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients & families.
