The CIO manages the implementation of useful technology in the Group to increase information accessibility and integrated systems management. Typically, a CIO is involved with driving the analysis and re-engineering of existing business processes, identifying and developing the capability to use new tools, reshaping the enterprise's physical infrastructure and network access, and identifying and exploiting the enterprise's knowledge resources.Responsibilities:Be the lead senior officer responsible for ICT strategy and delivery across the Group.Establish and promote the vision for ICT to support transformation and innovation in the Group.Lead the development of Al Gihaz ICT strategy and budget and ensure the strategy supports Al Gihaz business objectives including ongoing development in response to the fast-changing business environment.Provide technological guidance within the organization.Be responsible for the technological direction of the company, proposing budgets for programs and projects, purchasing and upgrading equipment, supervising computer specialists and IT workers, and presiding over IT-related projects.Supervise information systems and communications networks.Design, establish, and maintain a network infrastructure for local and wide area connectivity and remote access.Consult with administration, department managers, and manufacturing representatives to exchange information, present new approaches, and discuss equipment/system changes.Participate in vendor contract negotiations for all new computer equipment and software purchased for the corporation.Create a cost-benefit analysis and support a detailed definition of data requirements and departmental workflows.Oversee Internet and computer operations.Manage the day-to-day operations of the information technology department including directing staff who support administrative computing, networking, user services, telecommunications, and other IT functions.Assess and anticipate technology projects and recommend appropriate action and resources.Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for the information technology department.Propose hardware/software solutions to accomplish the company's business objectives.Identify user needs and resolve problems.Job SpecificationFirst degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; a postgraduate degree or MBA with ICT focus will be an important addition.Relevant Certifications in ICT and Project Management related field.Not less than 15 years experience in ICT in large organizations with multiple business portfolios and diversified business activities.Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience in leading extensive work teams.Strong track record in delivering projects related to ICT and demonstrating strong project management skills.Familiarity with business principles and techniques of administration, organization, and management, including an in-depth understanding of the key business issues that exist in a multi-business environment featuring contracting, trading, services, and manufacturing with strong exposure to business process analysis and redesign.Knowledge of systems design and development processes, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, pilot testing, installation, evaluation, and operational management.Location: Information Technology and Services - Rawalpindi, Pakistan
