Our client is an award-winning childcare provider who is focused on high-quality care for young children and building strong teams of passionate educators. They are currently looking for a full-time manager to lead a centre licensed for 150 children. As a Centre Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the centre. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in an educational environment and great communication skills to allow for fantastic relationship building amongst tamariki, families, and the team. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership to our team of educators, creating a collaborative and supportive work culture.
- Curriculum Development: Work with educators to develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with New Zealand's Early Childhood Education Curriculum, Te Whāriki.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise teaching staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Parent and Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and the local community.
- Compliance: Ensure the centre operates in compliance with all relevant licensing and regulatory requirements.
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or a recognised qualification in Primary and current teachers registration.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting.
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand's early childhood education regulations and curriculum.
