The Payroll Manager would be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. The role also includes ensuring compliance with statutory requirements related to Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and Provident Fund (PF). Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the payroll department.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including salaries, benefits, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.
- Ensure payroll activities are compliant with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file necessary compliance documents, including ESIC and PF returns.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Manage ESIC registration, contributions, and benefit disbursements.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of ESIC returns.
- Handle employee queries and issues related to ESIC.
- Administer PF processes including registrations, contributions, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of PF returns.
- Address employee queries and issues related to PF.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll function efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures.
- Prepare and distribute various payroll reports and analysis.
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts and ensure accuracy of payroll transactions.
- Supervise and mentor payroll staff.
- Provide training and support to ensure team members are knowledgeable and effective.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, ESIC, and PF regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
