Training Program Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to sales team needs, focusing on product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer engagement. Regularly update training content to align with new product launches, market trends, and evolving trade marketing strategies. Product Knowledge Enhancement: Deliver comprehensive training on product details, features, and benefits to ensure the sales team can effectively communicate value to customers. Collaborate with PDI and marketing for product insights and competitive analysis, keeping the team informed of updates and market positioning. Sales Skills and Technique Training: Teach essential sales techniques—prospecting, upselling, cross-selling, and closing—to enhance conversion rates and customer engagement. Conduct interactive sessions, including role-playing and workshops, to build practical sales skills, supported by ongoing assessments and feedback for continuous improvement. Conduct team building activities for DM/ASM to maintain team cohesiveness. Performance Monitoring: Conduct field visits to observe sales interactions, providing hands-on coaching for immediate improvement. Monitor performance metrics to deliver targeted feedback and support underperforming team members with focused training interventions. External Interfaces Internal Interfaces Distributors Retail Partners Sales Team Marketing Team Product Development & Innovation Team Job Requirements Educational Qualification and Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related fields. 5-7 years of experience in sales training, preferably in FMCG or food industry. Competencies Technical Proficiency in Powerpoint Sales Training Program Design Product Knowledge in FMCG Sales Sales Techniques (prospecting, upselling, cross-selling) Trade Marketing and Merchandising Knowledge Behavioural Effective Communication (both written & verbal) and Presentation Skills Empathy and Coaching Mindset Continuous Learning and Improvement Orientation Results-Driven and Goal-Oriented Customer-Centric Focus Proactive Problem-Solving KRA & KPI Develop sales training programs: Number of sessions delivered. Ensure 100% completion of required training modules. Improve sales team performance: Percentage improvement in sales. Enhance product knowledge: Increased product sales. Training Outcome Reporting Accuracy: Timeliness and accuracy of training outcome reports submitted.
