The Health Technology Operations- Counties Manukau provides a health technology consultancy, clinical engineering services and medical equipment maintenance support service to all departments across Counties Manukau District. We are a team of 38 professionals. Operating from Middlemore Hospital Campus, we are looking for an energetic and talented Clinical Engineering Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Technologist to join our team. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday. About you: This is an evolving role, and this is your opportunity to help grow the role with a focus to provide specialist clinical engineering ICT services to not only Counties Manukau but also HTM nationally. A fundamental requirement will be on-going Clinical Engineering ICT consultancy and guidance services that will include carrying out IT risk assessment of new technology and equipment being looked at across the hospitals and clinics served by HTM. To be successful in this role you will need to have:- Relevant tertiary engineering qualification NZQA level 5/6 or equivalent level of practical experience, e.g., Diploma or degree in Electronics, ICT or Electrical Engineering and/or Clinical Engineering).
- 5+ years’ hands on experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) technical field with a good understanding of ICT systems (including networks, hardware -servers, etc.) and software
- Registered as an Electrical Appliance Serviceperson or higher class with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (Must achieve a pass in the EWRB practical assessment and written examination within 12 months and must achieve registration within 24 months of start date).
- Strong technical skills and understanding of medical equipment and/or ICT principles, electronics, and mechanical systems.
