Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Food Product Development Specialist to join our team at Asmita Organic Farms. The role involves driving research and development, ensuring quality assurance and quality control, and overseeing the production process to maintain the highest standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in food technology and production, coupled with a passion for innovation and sustainability in the organic food industry. Key Responsibilities :
- Product Development: Develop and formulate new food products based on market trends, consumer demands, and competitor analysis.
- Product Innovation: Ability to create unique, marketable food products based on consumer trends. Modify and improve existing products based on market feedback and testing outcomes, contributing to continuous product innovation .
- Product Testing: Conduct product trials, sensory evaluations, and testing, collaborating with labs to ensure quality and consistency.
- Process Optimization: Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality, shelf life, and nutritional content.
- Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth operations across the supply chain.
- Packaging Compliance: Oversee food packaging, including nutritional chart handling and label proofreading to meet regulatory standards.
- Marketing Coordination: Coordinate with the content and marketing teams to update product details, highlight health benefits, and revising outdated information.
- Supplier Management: Manage the procurement process, increase purchase orders, and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective sourcing.
- Quality Audits: Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes, facilities, and warehouses to maintain high-quality standards.
- Dispatch Quality: Ensure the successful dispatch of goods by overseeing quality checks to meet internal and customer expectations.
- Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with food safety and labeling requirements.
- Qualification: Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years in food product development, preferably in organic food products.
- Skills: Expertise in product testing, nutritional chart calculations, packaging compliance, and food safety.
- Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of food safety standards.
- QA & QC: Strong knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes for raw materials and finished products.
- Product Trials: Experience in conducting trials and refining recipes based on market needs.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing and production.
- Creativity: Innovative approach to food product development with an eye for trends.
