IIoT Product Manager

Who is the Technical Product Manager at Linecraft AI? We are seeking an experienced candidate with a strong and hands on understanding of Controls systems and IoT space in manufacturing to join our team at Linecraft AI. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in controls, electrical/instrumentation. You will be responsible for understanding internal users, customer needs and driving the creation of products that satisfy those needs while bringing value to the business where the focus will be on improving efficiency of configuration and deployment users. You’ll be in charge of:

• Acting as a Liaison : You will collaborate closely with the Heads of Product, Engineering, R&D – Configuration- Deployment, Business development to define and execute the product roadmap for Linecraft.ai configuration product, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.
• Product Expertise : You will utilize your expertise in the product development to conduct feature development core needs assessment by collaborating with configuration team members to help improve features about configuration, modelling and data processing.
• First Principles Thinking: As a product manager, you will need to apply first principles thinking to break down complex challenges and question existing assumptions. This approach will enable you to identify core user needs and develop innovative solutions that differentiate our products. Your ability to foster collaboration and drive creativity will be essential in optimizing our product strategies for impactful results.
• Domain Guidance : You will act as a domain expert, providing guidance to product, design and engineering team while building new features or improvements to existing product. Any functional gaps in understanding product concepts around configuration manager product.
• Deep Product Understanding : You will develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Linecraft AI product, including its configuration processes and underlying technologies such as embedded software, networking software, backend/cloud software, front-end applications, and edge/cloud APIs.
• Collaboration for Improvement : You will work collaboratively with engineering teams to enhance the configuration process by implementing features that reduce manual tasks and improve overall efficiency.
• User-Friendly Interface Development : You will advocate for the creation of a user-friendly configuration product interface that simplifies understanding for end users and enhances their experience.
• Ownership of Configuration Product: As the leading product manager for the Linecraft AI Configuration product, you will take full ownership of creating a highly reliable and stable self-service experience. Your responsibilities will include defining the product vision and strategy, collaborating with UX/UI teams to design intuitive interfaces, and working closely with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and drive improvements. You will also establish metrics to monitor product performance and user satisfaction, making data-driven decisions for optimization, while leading initiatives for ongoing enhancements based on user feedback and market trends. Through these efforts, you will ensure that the Linecraft AI Configuration product effectively meets user needs and maintains high standards of quality.
• Travel: From time to time, there will be a need to travel to customer site for understanding new feature needs/gaps in current product from customers.
• Customer Engagement : Engagement with customers will be limited to validation to understanding how product is being used, where the potential improvements are and product discovery related research in collaboration with deployment, customer success team at any point in lifecycle of the project.

• You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Industrial or automation related field.
• You are a highly motivated self-starter, technology enthusiast and eager to make an impact.
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Domain : You are a domain expert in automotive manufacturing, electrical, controls and automation system with hands on experience from design to commissioning on automation systems.
• Software development : You possess a strong understanding and experience in automating manual tasks and enhancing operational efficiency through the development of innovative software solutions.
• IT/OT Data Management and protocols: You have designed and implemented networked field nodes, servers, and devices integrated with PLCs to collect essential production data for the Data Management System. You have ensured a seamless flow of signals and information to dashboards and operator stations, facilitating real-time monitoring and informed decision-making.
• PLC, Robot Programming: You have a fairly good understanding of PLC and Robots programming : various PLCs, such as Siemens and Allen Bradley, using languages like ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams to automate control processes across production lines.
• Understanding of Control Systems : In-depth knowledge of control system design and implementation, including the ability to interface control systems with sensors, actuators, and other automation components.
• Robotics and vision system Integration : You understand how the integration of robotic systems into manufacturing processes, including programming robots for tasks such as welding, painting, and assembly works.
• Data Management and Analysis : Skills in collecting and analyzing data from production processes using historian/ database using SQL queries
• Database Understanding and SQL Proficiency: As a product manager, you will need a solid understanding of databases and proficiency in SQL. This includes running queries, understanding database schemas, and building custom scripts for local reports. These skills will enable you to analyse trends, derive insights, and collaborate effectively with technical teams to support our product strategy.
• Process Optimization : Ability to analyse manufacturing processes and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Safety Protocols Knowledge : Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols specific to automotive manufacturing
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving : Proficient in diagnosing issues within control systems and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
• Adaptability to New Technologies : Proficient in IoT communication protocols, including MQTT, to facilitate seamless data exchange between devices. Experience with database querying for efficient data management and analysis, enabling effective integration of advanced automation and control systems in automotive manufacturing.
