Job Title: Bakery and Pastry Chef Job Summary: The Bakery and Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing and creating a variety of high-quality baked goods and desserts. This role involves designing innovative recipes, managing the production process, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and quality standards to achieve customer satisfaction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and create baked goods and desserts such as croissants, cakes, éclairs, tarts, and more.
  • Develop new and innovative recipes that meet customer needs and align with market trends.
  • Monitor the quality of raw materials and ensure proper and safe storage.
  • Supervise daily production processes to maintain efficiency and quality.
  • Train team members on baking techniques and dessert preparation.
  • Adhere to hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with local and international regulations.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and coordinate with the procurement department for necessary supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Provide suggestions to improve the product menu and reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with management to meet special event requirements or large orders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A certificate in Culinary Arts or an equivalent qualification (specialization in pastry and bakery is preferred).
  • Minimum of 6 years of practical experience in the bakery and pastry field.
  • Creative and innovative skills in preparing and presenting baked goods and desserts.
  • Advanced knowledge of baking and preparation techniques and decoration methods.
  • Ability to manage time and work under pressure.
  • Leadership and effective communication skills with team members.
  • Commitment to hygiene and occupational health standards.

Work Environment:

  • Working in a fully equipped kitchen.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a heated environment.
