Legal Recruitment Consultant | Saudi Arabia Middle East

Position: Senior Legal Counsel About the Company: Our client, a leading international bank with a strong presence in the Middle East, is recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel to join their legal team in Riyadh. The bank provides a comprehensive range of investment banking service functions, including Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), and advisory services. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert legal advice on ECM, M&A, IPOs, and investment banking advisory services, ensuring compliance with local and international regulatory frameworks.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate complex transactional agreements, including underwriting, advisory, and other related documentation.
  3. Liaise with internal stakeholders, including senior management and business units, to ensure legal risks are identified and mitigated effectively.
  4. Advise on legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the banking industry, including SAMA, CMA, and Tadawul regulations.
  5. Support the bank’s corporate governance framework and ensure adherence to best practices.
  6. Collaborate with external counsel as needed, managing relationships and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective service.
Qualifications:
  1. Native Arabic speaker , with fluency in English (written and spoken).
  2. 5-8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate and commercial law, preferably with a focus on ECM, M&A, and IPOs.
  3. Significant experience working within or advising the financial services sector, particularly banks.
  4. Training and work experience with a tier 1 international law firm .
  5. Educational background from the US or UK (LLB, LLM, or equivalent).
  6. Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian banking and financial regulations.
  7. High level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  8. Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  10. Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
