The Lifting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the set-up, maintenance and safe and efficient operations of the lifting equipment. He will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all lifting activities in accordance with regulations and is required to be present during all lifting operations, detailed responsibilities as follows:

  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures for all lifting operations in the façade and the construction.
  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of the lifting team.
  • Inspecting and ensuring the proper maintenance of lifting equipment and gear.
  • Ensuring that lifting operations comply with approved lifting plan.
  • Planning and executing lifting operations in consultation with installation team.
  • Ensuring that the lifting team is trained and competent.
  • Should be aware of all the elevated platforms used in the façade industry.
  • To conduct inspection of the equipment as per the checklist provided by the supplier.
  • Shifting of all the materials to the installation area in coordination with installation team.
  • Investigating and reporting any accidents or incidents related to lifting operations.
  • Communicating effectively with project managers and engineers.
  • Monitoring weather conditions and making appropriate decisions to postpone or continue operations.
  • Documenting all lifting operations and maintaining an accurate record of the same.
Qualifications
  • Any degree or academic credentials.
  • Proven experience in logistics supervision at construction site.
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Having lifting certification from competent authority is an advantage.
