About the role
The Director, as a Senior Relationship Banker, and in conjunction with the Executive Director, Head of Corporate Banking (NZ), is responsible for originating and managing a complex portfolio of Wholesale Food & Agri customers. This role is to drive revenue growth and deal flow and improve profitability of the bank in a sustainable manner. Key responsibilities include:- Prospect and segment strategy
- Deal origination, including identifying capital structure, working capital and risk management opportunities with existing clients and prospects
- Developing and strengthening existing customer relationships to enhance Rabobank’s customer value proposition
- Linking global knowledge
- Taking ownership of credit submissions
- Driving strategic projects
- Presenting Rabobank as a knowledge-driven and high-quality partner
About you
This role is an exciting opportunity for a driven, ambitious individual with strong business development skills, commercial acumen and understanding of credit, with at least 10 years’ experience in Corporate & Institutional Banking (lending and relationship management). Knowledge:- Good understanding of a bank’s credit process and the ability to manage a credit process
- Demonstrated knowledge of lending (Corporate, Leveraged, Project or Structured Finance) and associated tax, accounting and legal issues.

- Excel, Word, Power-point & Advanced computing skills
- Financial Modelling skills
- Sound Risk Management / Analytical skills
- Excellent report writing skills
