About this role:

  • Roles: Act as a key decision-maker in all contractual processes, ensuring alignment with both operational goals and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Promote consistency in contract terms and practices across the organization by implementing standard templates and guidelines.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and vendors, fostering trust and collaboration through transparent communication and negotiation.
  • Support the development of commercial strategies to enhance profitability and minimize risk.
  • Act as the primary advisor for senior management on contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead high-stakes contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Resolve contract-related conflicts and disputes to prevent escalation or delays.
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with legal counsel to ensure contracts comply with local and international laws, as applicable.
  • Regularly review legal updates and integrate necessary changes into new and existing contracts.
  • Document Control: Maintain and update a centralized repository of contracts, correspondence, and related documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive contractual information.
  • Performance Management: Track and evaluate the performance of contracts, ensuring deliverables and timelines are met by all parties.
  • Provide regular feedback to stakeholders on contract compliance and performance metrics.
  • Policy Development and Training: Develop and implement company-wide policies for contract management and approval workflows.
  • Conduct training sessions for relevant staff to improve understanding of contractual processes and risk management.
  • Cost Control and Savings: Identify opportunities for cost savings through renegotiation of existing contracts or leveraging market trends.
  • Ensure the organization receives maximum value for money in all agreements.
  • Risk and Dispute Management: Develop contingency plans for managing contract-related risks and disputes.
  • Represent the organization in arbitration or mediation processes when disputes arise.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Facilitate communication and collaboration between procurement, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure alignment on contract execution.
  • Support procurement by advising on contractual clauses during supplier/vendor selection processes.
  • Duties: Ensuring timely execution of contracts to avoid project delays or missed deadlines.
  • Monitoring the financial performance of contracts to ensure profitability aligns with business goals.
  • Preparing detailed reports on the status of key contracts for presentation to senior management.
  • Assisting in the preparation of tenders, bids, and proposals to ensure competitive and compliant submissions.
  • Identifying gaps in existing contracts and initiating amendments to address evolving business needs.
  • Reviewing vendor or client agreements to ensure they are consistent with company standards and values.
  • Engaging in market research to benchmark contract terms and improve negotiation outcomes.
  • Acting as a mediator between internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth execution of projects.
Occupational and Workplace Health and Safety Responsibilities: In addition to all job specific responsibilities, all employees are required to adhere to all Khidmah health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, practices, and relevant legal and statutory health, safety and environmental requirements and obligations. All employees are personally responsible to familiarize themselves with these policies, procedures, practices, updates, etc. Khidmah HSE department regularly updates existing and introduces new policies, procedures and practices and each employee is personally responsible to ensure they stay updated and compliant with all such updates and new additions. Information Security Responsibilities:
  1. Comply with Khidmah Information Security Policies.
  2. Be aware of and fulfill their information security responsibilities.
  3. Ensure whoever handles sensitive company information has taken the Security Awareness Training.
  4. Know how to report a security incident (to IT ServiceDesk or InfoSec).
  5. Not disable his/her OS firewall and/or Antivirus.
  6. Restrict use to authorized purposes, protect access accounts, privileges, and associated passwords.
  7. Accept accountability of his/her individual user accounts, and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Essential):
  • A degree in one of the following fields is often required: Business Administration/Law/Finance.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in roles related to contract management, commercial operations, or procurement.
