The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the efficient distribution of precast concrete products to project sites. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective delivery of products while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with production and transportation providers to streamline operations, manage schedules, and resolve logistical challenges. Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Planning and Coordination
- Develop and manage delivery schedules to ensure timely transportation of precast concrete products to clients and project sites.
- Coordinate with production and transportation providers to align delivery timelines with customer requirements.
- Optimize delivery routes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
Transportation Management
- Liaise with third-party logistics providers, transport companies, and drivers to arrange shipments.
- Ensure vehicles are loaded and dispatched according to company policies and safety regulations.
- Address and resolve transportation issues such as delays or damage to products during transit.
Compliance and Documentation
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documents, invoices, and delivery records.
- Ensure compliance with local and international transport regulations, including permits and certifications.
Customer Service and Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding delivery schedules, updates, and inquiries.
- Address customer concerns and provide solutions to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to provide updates on delivery progress and resolve any logistical challenges.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, including delivery accuracy and transportation costs.
- Prepare regular reports on logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
Problem-Solving and Process Improvement
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the logistics process.
- Recommend and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Work closely with production staff, transportation providers, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve organizational goals.
