IT Systems Engineer - Kuwait

Role Overview We are seeking a bi-lingual (English & Arabic), talented IT system engineer to be part of the team that is installing, commissioning and maintaining our surveillance and command and control systems in Kuwait. The role entails commissioning complex networked systems that vary from sophisticated marine surveillance systems to data and network server systems, and support systems such as building control systems. The successful candidate will likely have 5 to 10 years of experience in a large commercial or industrial organisation setting up and managing their IT networked systems. Training will be provided. 1. Configuration and deployment of networked servers, storage, network (hardware and related software packages) and other IT system support infrastructure.
2. Check and validate installations, and provide reports.
3. Configuration and trouble shooting of different types of connectivity systems.
4. Monitor system performance, undertake trouble shooting and resolution and implementation of software patches and hardware replacements.
5. Support and train customer internal IT departments and technicians to enable them to take operational ownership and responsibility of the systems we have supplied for day to day maintenance, issue identification and resolution.
6. Maintain good document trails of system changes and updates.

1. English & Arabic bilingual.
2. A minimum of 5 years network IT system setup and management experience in either commercial or industrial environments.
3. Deep understanding of IT networks and server system configurations and setup in particular Windows/Linux servers and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
4. Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) advantageous.
5. Strong understanding of IT security and data protection best practices.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
