Role Overview As a WordPress Developer, you’ll be at the forefront of creating visually stunning and highly functional interfaces. Working closely with our marketing and events teams, you’ll ensure our websites provide an exceptional user experience. - Understanding of WordPress architecture and ecosystem.
- Proficiency in creating and customizing themes and plugins.
- Familiarity with WordPress hooks, actions, and filters.
- Setting up a WordPress Multisite.
- Strong knowledge of PHP
- Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
- Understanding of namespaces and autoloaders for custom plugins.
- Proficiency in JavaScript for creating dynamic and interactive user interfaces.
- Familiarity with jQuery for DOM manipulation and AJAX calls in WordPress.
- Experience working with Elementor's drag-and-drop builder.
- Understanding of Elementor's API and extending its widgets.
- Ability to create custom Elementor widgets and templates.
- Expertise in HTML5 for structuring web content.
- Strong skills in CSS3 for designing and styling web pages, including responsive design.
- Proficiency in SCSS for writing modular, maintainable, and reusable CSS.
- Knowledge of Git for version control and collaboration on projects.
- Ability to debug WordPress and PHP errors
- Experience with WordPress REST API to communicate between the front-end and back-end.
- Implementation of AJAX for real-time functionality in custom plugins.
- Proficiency in MySQL for managing and querying WordPress databases.
- Understanding of creating custom database tables for plugin data.
- Basic proficiency in Adobe XD, Figma, or Photoshop to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom for image optimization (resizing, compression, and colour correction).
- Experience in Illustrator for creating vector assets like logos or icons.
- Understanding of best practices for securing WordPress websites and plugins.
- Familiarity with techniques for optimizing WordPress plugins for speed and scalability.
- Knowledge of caching mechanisms and database optimization.
