- Lead all legal and regulatory aspects of APAC market expansion, such as licensing applications or acquisitions.
- Advise on, develop, and sustain Taptap Send's legal and regulatory framework, supporting strategic initiatives like new product launches in the region.
- Partner cross-functionally to address complex legal and regulatory challenges while ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate key commercial agreements with partners.
- Collaborate with the broader legal team to assess and communicate risks, crafting innovative solutions that align business objectives with the evolving legal landscape.
- Proactively identify risks and work with internal and external stakeholders to create actionable strategies for regulatory or licensing matters.
- Oversee and lead regulatory audits or examinations within the APAC region.
- Assist with any other legal work in the APAC region.
- You are a qualified lawyer with 5-10 years of practising experience.
- You worked in-house, ideally in a start-up / scale-up, covering a wide range of legal matters (e.g. commercial and regulatory).
- You have emerging markets experience, ideally within the fintech sector.
- You have experience engaging with external stakeholders, such as regulators.
- You have experience advising the business on new product or new markets launches.
- You are eager to learn new things and roll up your sleeves.
- You are based in Dubai and willing to travel as required.
- Outgoing - you love speaking to people and enjoy building meaningful relationships.
