Role Description and Responsibilities This is a full-time on-site role for a Tailor/Dressmaker at GlamOnYou. The Tailor will be responsible for dressmaking, fitting, and producing new garments to meet quality expectations and customer specifications.
- Sew garments based on design specifications, patterns, and alterations.
- Work with various fabrics and materials (e.g., cotton, silk, chiffon, linen).
- Handle alterations and custom sewing for special requests or orders.
- Operate and maintain industrial and domestic sewing machines and tools.
- Ensure high attention to detail, quality, and timeliness in all garment production.
- Perform fitting adjustments to ensure garments fit clients perfectly.
- Proven experience as a tailor, garment maker, or seamstress, with at least 2 years of experience in sewing and making women's garments.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction.
- Proficient in operating various types of sewing machines and equipment.
- Ability to work with a wide range of fabrics and materials.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional craftsmanship and finishing skills.
- Excellent time-management skills to meet deadlines.
- Formal training in tailoring or garment design.
- Experience with women's garments.
- Familiarity with fashion trends and garment industry standards.
