In an exciting development, we are seeking a dedicated Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and enhance the technological vision of one of our flagship products.

Role Overview:

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be the key architect of our technological future, driving the technical strategy and leading the development team to ensure the successful delivery of our products. You will bridge the gap between technology and business, making strategic decisions that align with our business goals. Web Architecture & Development (ideally in Symfony PHP), and your forward-thinking approach towards modern frontend technologies like React, along with solid DevOps knowledge, will be pivotal in our continued success.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Technical Strategy & Vision:

Develop and implement a robust technical strategy for our product, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

Stay ahead of technological trends and advancements to ensure our technology stack remains cutting-edge and competitive.

Team Leadership & Management:

Hire, manage, and mentor a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Oversee the daily operations of the development team, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of technical solutions.

Technical Decision-Making:

Make informed technical decisions that prioritize business value, balancing technical excellence with business needs.

Ensure all technical decisions are in line with the strategic goals of the company and product roadmap.

Product Development & Delivery:

Lead the technical development of our product, utilizing Symfony for the backend and transitioning towards React or similar frontend technologies.

Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of technical solutions that meet business requirements and customer needs.

Ensure data security and product reliability & scalability.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX, marketing, and customer support, to ensure cohesive implementation of strategies, acting as a liaison between the business and technical teams.

Act as a technical advisor to the executive team, contributing to strategic decision-making and business planning on a high-level.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the technical team, focusing on process optimization and technology upgrades.

Encourage and support innovation within the team, promoting a mindset of experimentation and learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in a CTO or similar leadership role, with a strong track record of managing powerful technical teams and building sophisticated products at scale.

Expertise in PHP (ideally Symfony) for backend development, with a strong understanding of modern frontend technologies, particularly JavaScript and React.

General knowledge in DevOps and experience in running live web apps with a high-volume of concurrent users.

Solid understanding of business principles and the ability to align technical decisions with business goals.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing talent.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Working Conditions:

Location: Dubai - United Arab Emirates or willing to relocate to Dubai

Flexible working hours with a core hours system

Compensation:

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

Bonus: Up to 4 additional salaries

Raise: Up to 15% annually
