About the Role
As a Financial Specialist, you will be at the core of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across diverse financial processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make an impact in budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and more while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including monthly and quarterly statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Conduct variance analysis to evaluate performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Support the preparation of annual reports and assist in audits.
- Manage routine accounting tasks such as transaction recording, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and tax regulations.
- Monitor daily cash flows and manage operational cash requirements.
- Develop financial models to project future performance and support strategic decision-making.
- Participate in system upgrades, process improvements, and team training initiatives.
- Coordinate and lead finance team meetings, discussing performance metrics and resolving issues.
What You Bring
- Experience : 2–3 years of relevant experience outside the company or 2 years as an executive within ITCAN.
- Skills :
- Financial Reporting: Mastery in analyzing financial data and correcting discrepancies.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Proficiency in creating forecasts and analyzing variances.
- Accounting Principles: Solid knowledge of accounting standards for accurate reporting.
- Software Expertise: Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and tools like Excel.
- Problem-Solving & Analysis: Talent for identifying inefficiencies and crafting solutions.
- Mindset : Strategic thinker with a passion for data-driven insights and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, ICAEW, or CA are a plus.
