About the job Construction Supervisor - Electrical and Instrumentation (1 year)Position: Construction Supervisor - Electrical and InstrumentationLocation: Ras Laffan, QatarContract Duration: 1 YearExcellent communication skills (oral and written) and professional presentation skills.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize deadlines.Effective time management and problem-solving skills.Good familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing Electrical and Instrumentation practices in industrial settings.Provide supervision and quality assurance support for the installation of E&I equipment and packages during the construction phase of the project.Ensure that all installation activities for instrument and control systems and electrical devices are in compliance with project specifications, in conformance with approved drawings, schedules, procedures, local statutory rules & regulations, method statements, standards, and guidelines, and issue non-conformances when detected.Monitor the implementation of the approved Project Quality Plan.Assist the Project Manager in assessing and certifying contractors' claims for additional works.Oversee planning, scheduling, and monitoring of construction activities for the E&I discipline.Prepare progress reports and participate in review meetings. Ensure that daily and weekly short-range planning is maintained.Work collaboratively with our client's operation team, maintenance team, contractors, and OEMs.Liaise with external stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities in resolving issues or providing advice.Participate in the preparation of Method Statements (MS) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) for major activities.Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.Perform inspections of incoming E&I packages and materials.Prepare and monitor punch lists for E&I activities.Manage pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for seamless start-up of the newly built process facilities.Minimum Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.Necessary valid qualifications from local authorities, if any.8+ years of proven experience in control systems or electrical systems either in EPC organizations or process plant maintenance arena.Proven experience with E&I equipment installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of process plants, preferably in oil & gas or industrial gas projects.Experience in a multidisciplinary organizational work environment and collaboration with several departments including operations, engineering & contracts.
