Accounts Payable Team Leader

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader. This role will be based at our East Tamaki site. It is responsible for managing the Accounts Payable function across both New Zealand and Australia managed from the New Zealand head office. Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee and optimise invoices processing and vendor management across Australia and NZ for around 2,500 invoices per month.
- Uploading payments into the online banking portal for all payment types.
- Managing a team of 2 team members including providing ongoing training and support.
- Manage all accounts payable master data for the group.
- Lead testing for system updates and collaborate on process improvements.
- Assist with period end processing and cashflow management.
- Previous experience in a high-volume accounts payable role in a medium to large FMCG business.
- Strong reconciliation skills.
- Proven leadership ability in managing a small team.
- Well organised with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish rapport and handle queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Team player who works at pace.
- Some financial accounting experience would be an advantage.
