Client > Consulting Firm Role > Interim Head of Sustainability. He/She plays a vital role in embedding sustainable practices within a company’s operations, improving environmental impact and enhancing social responsibility. The role requires strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across the organization. Main tasks >

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and business goals.
  2. Communicate sustainability goals, initiatives, and progress to both internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Establish sustainability policies and procedures that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
  4. Conduct regular sustainability risk assessments and identify opportunities for improvement.
  5. Develop and promote sustainable practices across the supply chain, like sustainable sourcing, waste reduction, and fair labor practices.
  6. Develop and implement programs to educate employees on sustainable practices and their impact on the organization.
  7. Implement tracking and measurement tools for sustainability performance and ensure timely reporting.
  8. Identify opportunities for external collaborations on sustainability initiatives, grants, or innovation projects.
Qualifications > Mandatory 15 years of experience in ESG with Airlines experience. If no airline, then other aviation experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is typically required; Fluency in English is required, Arabic is nice to have; Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and unparalleled attention to detail.
