Roles and Responsibilities

We are looking for incredibly talented Backend Developers to join our development team here at Property Finder. As a company, we are very performance-oriented and test the performance of all code and database queries, but we always ensure that this does not affect code quality and legibility. We take the time to refactor and rework code when necessary, but we always have the business goals in mind when doing this. We expect our developers to be passionate about new technologies and think of creative ways that they could benefit our business. We want our developers to stay current with changes in technologies such as Go, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, and other AWS services like AWS Step Functions to build tailored solutions using cloud-native technologies. We are big proponents of Agile development methods with small cross-functional teams fully empowered to take an idea from inception and to be able to deliver it fully tested into production with minimal outside disruptions. Because of this, you will need to be able to work well with others in your team and be able to contribute meaningful ideas on how to best achieve your objectives and key results. Responsibilities

In a large tech department, divided into smaller teams, you’ll be in charge of developing new features, as well as refactoring existing projects.
You need to be able to write clean and scalable code.
You’ll need to be able to participate in brainstorming sessions and to bring your opinion and experience to the table.

Requirements

Very strong Object Oriented Programming and design pattern skills.
Experience working with backend languages i.e., Java, C#, Python, Golang.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Very comfortable working with MySQL / DynamoDB.
REST web services.
Git / Github.

Desired Candidate Profile

Performance Measurement and Analytics
- Proficiency in identifying and tracking KPIs to assess business performance across various departments, such as sales , finance , operations , and marketing .
- Ability to use data analysis tools (e.g., Excel , Power BI , Tableau , SQL ) to analyze performance data and identify trends or inefficiencies.
- Conducting root-cause analysis to identify factors affecting business performance and recommending corrective actions.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Basic knowledge of financial metrics like revenue , profit margins , operating costs , and return on investment (ROI) to assess business performance.
- Experience in building financial reports and dashboards that help management make data-driven decisions.
- Understanding of budgeting , forecasting , and variance analysis to evaluate financial performance against targets.
Process Improvement
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies like Lean , Six Sigma , or Agile to help optimize business operations and increase efficiency.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve workflows, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
Business Strategy Support
- Helping to develop and implement business strategies based on performance data and market analysis.
- Providing analytical support to senior management during strategic decision-making processes.
- Conducting competitor analysis and market research to provide insights that influence business direction.
Communication and Presentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to report performance findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Ability to create presentations using tools like PowerPoint or Google Slides to communicate performance insights and improvement opportunities.
- Ability to explain complex data and analytical findings in a way that non-technical stakeholders can easily understand.
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify business challenges and suggest actionable solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing business environments.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Teamwork
- Ability to work closely with teams across various departments (e.g., finance, marketing, operations, HR) to understand their performance needs and help improve their processes.
- Facilitating collaboration between departments to ensure that performance improvement initiatives align with broader business goals.
Data Management and Visualization
- Knowledge of tools and techniques for managing and visualizing large datasets to make data-driven decisions (e.g., SQL , Excel , Power BI , Tableau ).
- Creating interactive dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into business performance.
Project Management
- Ability to support performance improvement projects by managing timelines, resources, and ensuring that deliverables are met.
- Experience with project management tools like Jira , Trello , or Asana to track progress and ensure successful project outcomes.
