Te Au Reka - Improving access to justice for all New Zealanders Te Au Reka represents the opportunity of a lifetime, making a profound difference to those who work in, and interact with, courts and tribunals. This new digital case management system will help modernise the administration of justice in Aotearoa New Zealand. It will replace highly manual, time-consuming, paper-based processes, transforming the way people access and experience justice in New Zealand. Te Au Reka is a large, complex and unique programme, spanning courts and tribunals nationwide. We'll be implementing Te Au Reka over the next few years and are looking for people to be part of our team. Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity You will be reporting to the Manager – Digital Design within Te Au Reka. The Digital Design team is responsible for providing support for the initial design and development of the Te Au Reka service, that will be rolled out in 3 phases. The Business Analyst will work to ensure the ongoing Digital Service of Te Au Reka meets required business outcomes, delivers value and is able to be sustainably supported. The initial responsibilities will be analysing, defining, and documenting key stakeholder data requirements to inform data model and reporting design for the delivery of Te Au Reka. You will enjoy working in transformational programmes of work, be experienced in managing ambiguity and value diversity of thought while respecting culture and traditions. To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience in using technical documentation templates and methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in gathering complex technical and business requirements, then prioritising or validating against proposed solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage complex technical projects with ambiguity and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
A sound understanding of the machinery of government and experience in Te Reo Māori would be advantageous. Utu ā-tau/Salary The appointing salary for this role is between $103,226 – $133,540 (ICT 4) based on skills and experience.
