Only Nationals of the Country for which the Job is posted An anesthesia technician assists the anesthesia team before, during, and after a patient's procedure. Their responsibilities include:
- Preparing the patient, room, and equipment: Anesthesia technicians prepare the patient, room, and equipment for the anesthesiologist. They also ensure that there are enough supplies on hand.
- Maintaining equipment: Anesthesia technicians inspect, maintain, and clean anesthesia machines and equipment. They also refill vaporizers, change gas tanks, and check for leaks.
- Assisting with anesthesia: Anesthesia technicians assist with the induction of anesthesia and intubation and extubation procedures. They also act as a second set of eyes and ears for the doctors.
