Due to the aggressive development of the business, they are looking for a Senior Manager, Internal Audit to further add value to the business from an internal audit perspective.

Job Description

As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital candidate comes with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities are listed below:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee team efforts to execute the annual Internal Audit (IA) Plan, This involves assessing the adequacy, integrity, effectiveness, and efficiencies of governance, risks, and internal control systems within the Group to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
• Develop and implement a risk-based Annual Audit Plan in line with the Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance and the Internal Audit Charter standards.
• Evaluate the sufficiency of internal controls, efficiency, and effectiveness of business processes, identifying control gaps and proposing improvement recommendations resulting from audit engagements.
• Manage and execute audit assignments as outlined in the Annual Audit Plan, ensuring adherence to timelines.
• Review and finalize audit working papers and findings prepared by team members.
• Provide ongoing updates on audit engagement status and promptly highlight high-risk audit findings to superiors.
• Supervise and support team members, participating in meetings with management to discuss audit processes and work.
• Discuss audit findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans with responsible personnel, process owners, and stakeholders.
• Oversee follow-up audits on reported findings to ensure implementation of management actions.
• Engage with management periodically to stay informed about Company and industry developments and adjust the internal audit activity as needed.
• Evaluate the skillset of the internal audit function regularly and facilitate adequate development programs for staff to meet Company needs.
• Lead and conduct investigations arising from whistleblowing reports.
• Maintain documentation for audit work, including working papers, audit programs, evidence, and relevant files.
• Undertake any ad hoc assignments and projects as required by management.
• Fulfill any other tasks assigned by superiors.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Senior Manager, Internal Audit will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company and must possess the below requirements;Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, and professional qualifications (eg. CPA, ACCA, CIA)
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in internal auditing.
• Good communication skills and stakeholder management, experienced in reporting to Board.
• Good report writing, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), GAAP, governing bodies and industry compliance requirements e.g., Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance, etc.
