Technical Service Engineer

Field Service Technician Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair Automatic Identification Data Capture (AIDC) equipment, including:
  • Thermal Transfer Printers (Desktop, Table-top, Mobile)
  • Handheld Scanners
  • Mobile Scanners/Terminals
  • Other related products (onsite or offsite)
• Study blueprints, schematics, operator and service manuals, and other specifications to understand installation and servicing procedures.
• Set up or oversee the installation of equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Operate and demonstrate equipment to end users.
• Provide end-user training upon equipment installation.
• Assist customers (end users or engineers) with service or support needs.
• Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual issues in system operation and maintenance.

• Possess at least a Diploma in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Candidates without a Diploma but with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates are welcome, as on-the-job training will be provided.
• Proven work experience as a field service technician (if applicable).
• Basic knowledge of equipment control and troubleshooting methods/skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer-oriented with effective communication skills.
• Related work experience with Thermal Printers or Scanners (e.g., Sato, Zebra, Honeywell, OKI, Epson, Citizen) is an added advantage.
