Management - Universities (Education & Training) Full time University of the Sunshine Coast (Uni SC) has partnered with Education Centre of Australia (ECA) to open a third-party managed campus in South Australia in 2024, offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs – primarily to international students. The campus is located at 182 Victoria Square in the Adelaide CBD. The Campus Director (Operations) has both a strategic planning and development, as well as a ‘hands on’ operational role. It has primary responsibility for delivering and/or supervising a range of operational matters: in student administration and support services; marketing/ recruitment and admissions, student compliance; finance and P/L reporting; facilities management; critical incidents and workplace health and safety (WHS). You will be ECA’s senior representative on-campus, reporting to the ECA Chief Operating Officer (COO). The role requires a significant understanding of the international education sector; how universities operate; as well as familiarity with higher education standards and regulatory policies and procedures that guide integrational student administration. A major focus is on delivery of an exceptional student experience - working collaboratively with the Uni SC Adelaide Academic Director & Principal. Key Responsibilities: Understanding of and ability to maintain compliance with the requirements of the Uni SC ECA operating agreement, including regular reports to the JMC (Joint Management Committee). Develop and implement operational plans and services in a ‘start up’ environment – covering campus facilities, finance and people across the core functions of education and business development/ sustainability- including updates to ensure currency of the Operations Manual for the Uni SC Adelaide campus. Support business development and growth of enrolments through collaboration with ECA marketing, recruitment and admissions teams. Manage ECA-appointed professional staff at the Uni SC Adelaide campus to deliver against agreed service outcomes. Ensure non-academic services supporting the delivery of Uni SC programs at the Adelaide campus comply with external regulatory requirement and standards - particularly those prescribed by the ESOS Act, National Code of Practice and TEQSA threshold standards. Manage all campus facility, critical incidents and WHS related matters. Ensure compliance with relevant Uni SC and ECA policies across a range of activities and processes relating to student enrolments; tuition fee payments; ID cards; student progress; privacy; professional placements; examinations; student grievance and critical incidents. Under broad direction of the ECA COO, monitor the campus budget, cash flow forecasting and cost control processes to meet annual and cost-specific budgets. Develop a positive and proactive working relationship with all stakeholders, across Uni SC and ECA generally to ensure that operational requirements are resourced and met. Ongoing development and mentoring of a professional staff team. As the successful candidate, you will have: A tertiary education qualification (preferably at postgraduate degree level) Extensive experience in managing diverse operations, preferably within the higher education and international education sectors. Knowledge of the governance, operation and regulation of higher education providers as it pertains to this role (ESOS Act, National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students, and the Higher Education Standards Framework - threshold standards). High-level strategic planning capability with demonstrated ability to operationalise strategy through communication, teamwork, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work with students and staff from varied cultural backgrounds. Experience with third-party tertiary campus management in a partnership between a university and private sector education provider (desirable).
